Seats still open for Rota Tri
Local triathletes who enjoy swimming, cycling, and running abroad received good news yesterday as there are still available seats to one of the most beautiful races in the Marianas.
With the recent reduction of flights both locally and abroad, the Marianas Visitors Authority undertook efforts to add flights to Rota for the homegrown delegation by working with local travel agencies and the airlines for this weekend’s Rota Blue Triathlon.
According to the MVA’s partner, Pacific Development Inc, with only days remaining before the race kicks off there is still space available on both Continental Airlines and Freedom Air.
As of yesterday morning, Continental had 36 seats available to Rota on flight 9313 departing Saipan at 9:05am tomorrow. Freedom Air still had eight seats available for Friday morning’s flight 200 departing Saipan at 9am, as well as four seats open on the 6pm flight 400.
Getting to the race is one thing but returning to Saipan is another, and Freedom Air still has seven seats available at 7:50am on Monday morning aboard flight 100.
There is still time to register for the race by submitting the $80 registration fee through Onishi-san at KFC triathlon via email to kfc-onishi@gem.hi-ho-ne.jp.
