Nagoya consumer event a success for MVA
The Nagoya consumer event, which took place from Nov. 18 to 21 in Nagoya, was a success for the Marianas Visitors Authority.
The event, which targeted families, couples, office ladies, and the silver market, attracted over 28,000 despite the cold weather.
MVA ran an information booth for all four days of the show handing out informational brochures and giveaways. There was also a Saipan-da photo shoot, the Marianas Quiz, and special handcraft workshops.
In addition, brochures from HIS, Nippon Travel Agency, R&C Tours, Kintetsu International, and JTB were distributed.
The Inatuas Cultural Dance Group also performed their signature island dance.
MVA gave the attendees a questionnaire each day and the winner received a free round trip ticket between Nagoya and Saipan offered by Northwest Airlines.
Other supporters of the events were Aqua Resort Club, Marianas Resort & Spa, Saipan World Resort, Hafadai Beach Hotel, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, Hotel Nikko Saipan, Tasi Tours, and Sand Castle Saipan.
“This was great exposure for our islands,” said MVA managing director Perry Tenorio. “Japan still continues to deliver the strongest arrivals to the Marianas thus it was exciting to present our beautiful islands to 28,000 people.” (PR)
