Every year, Sinapalo Elementary School celebrates National Children’s Book Week on the third week of November. Among some of the activities this year were the annual Scholastic Book Fair Sale and Celebrity Readers.

Local government agencies, the business community, and the National Honors Society were invited to participate in Celebrity Readers Day as Reading Role Models in the Kindergarten to fifth grade classrooms.

Other special visits during the week included representatives of the First Lady of the CNMI and First Lady of Guam, with donations of books for the school library. Guest authors were Maria Borja Dooley, who read her book Bunita the Bat and Lynn Jessup, who read her retelling of a South Asian myth, The Ramayana. The students enjoyed the week celebrating books.
