Ex-Taga Air employee accused of stealing money
A former employee of Taga Air was arrested for allegedly stealing money from his employer and threatening two of his then co-workers.
Fidelito Antiporda was arrested for theft and disturbing the peace.
The Superior Court had imposed a $4,000 cash bail for Antiporda’s temporary liberty. The preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 6.
On Nov. 27, 2006, a Taga Air employee reported to the Department of Public Safety about their former employee, Antiporda, who was terminated for stealing $680 from the company.
The complainant said since the termination, the defendant called and threatened her and another employee.
The complainant said that on Oct. 27, 2006 Antiporda did not return $680 that was paid by two customers who took flights to Tinian.
Antiporda allegedly failed to include the cash payment in his daily sales and instead took the money.
The defendant allegedly promised to pay back the money, but he never did.
The complaint said she was scared after Antiporda told her to “watch her back” and called another employee at 2am that he would come and just wait for him.
Some friends of the defendant doubted the allegations. They said Antiporda just could not find the money and that he never threatened the co-employees.
