The Saipan Electronic Darts Association held its awards banquet yesterday at Charlie’s Cabaret in the Pacific Islands Club, taking the time to celebrate while recognizing teams and players for their efforts the past season.

Leading the cast of champions were teams sponsored by Jonny’s Bar & Grill as they combined to take home four first place titles and a second place finish.

Members of Jonny’s Masters Proofers as Noel Saluta, Ramsa Tenepere, Willy Cuesta, Jun Olita, Arnel Guiterrez, Lino Ibis, Mario Sedanza, and Ruben Tarroza fueled the team to the title of the Masters League.

Second place went to the Oleai B-52 Old Shooters, while Oleai White Horse took third place.

Jonny’s 151 Proofers also represented well as the team topped the Volcano A League courtesy of the efforts of Jun Olita, Anie Legaspi, Ruden Terroza, Tony Membrere, Muriel Casalo, Edzel Pagtalunan, Reggie Borbon, and Moy Hernane.

Oleai Beach Bar & Grill’s Oleai The Brattz placed a respectable second, while Bud’s Destroyers of Bar’s took home third place.

Jonny’s Balite Boys were also champions, taking top honors in the Tuesday B League behind the guns of Ronnie Cruz, Ranie Soriano, Daniel Ducusin, Jun vergara, Roy Royo, Alfred Santos, and Melinda Santillan, while Jonny’s Emperor placed second and Oleai B-52 Mixers took third.

Jonny’s Most Wanted completed the championship run for the bar and grill establishment with a first place finish in the Flame Tree B Division. The team was led by Charlie Peters, Andrew Fojas, Don Andrew Kapileo, Paul Deleon Guerrero, and Howard Sablan.

The Vargas Snipers placed second, while the VFW Ukfe Oohyay of VFW Post 3457 took third place honors.

Another VFW team—VFW Chapinos—was able to win the Fanihi B Division, with members Bill Santos, John Moses, Ed Gabito, Mario Espinoza, Dimis Dela Cruz, and Jeffry Javier leading the way, while Bar Gaia Spywares and Bud’s Busbosi Manu Sina followed in second and third place.

SEDA also recognized teams for observing sportsmanlike conduct and awarded them with sportsmanship trophies. Ysabel’s D’Hunks won the award in the Masters League, while the establishment’s other team, Ysabel’s Lost Commando, did the same in the Volcano A League. Islandogz Warriors won in Rainbow A, Bud’s Re-elect in Tuesday B, Oleai Mamas Hotdog in Flame Tree B, The Flair balutan Kings in fanihi B, VFW Invaders in the C Division, and Da Place Triple 7 in the Ladies Division.
