FEAR of the UNKNOWN

I had promised myself not to write anymore to your good office and just stand and watch things as they happen in our beloved CNMI.

But reading the articles of our dear friend Mr. Greg Cruz lately has made me want to just say my two cents worth without having anybody to write on my behalf.

We all know for a fact that S.2739 is now a Public Law and it does not really take a rocket scientist to understand that there are a lot of phases that we will still have to go through before any “real” change is effected in the CNMI for all guest workers here.

My only concern is that why must Mr. Cruz continue his tirade of doing scare tactics on people and trying to segregate our community with “them versus us.”

Mr. Cruz there is no them versus us here its only you versus yourself. An imagined adversary is worse that a real one because it continues to haunt you even in your sleep.

No one ever said that you will be second class citizens in your own soil, only you say that. You should not be overly sensitive of these things since you have always been accorded due process by UNCLE SAM ever since. (citizenship, foodstamps, basic services, etc.) given that you are a “U.S. CITIZEN”.

Now having stated that fact, who are you to threaten other people who just want to live decent lives in a land that most of them now call also “home.” Our kids, like yours are growing up in a very small community and they do not need anyone who promotes racist behavior just to justify their existence. “I sense much fear in you. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.” Let not your fear dictate what your mind and heart want to say. Peace be with you Mr.Cruz.
