Memorial Week proclamation set today

The Office of the Governor, Office of Military/Veterans Affairs and the Memorial Day Committee are reminding the general public to come, celebrate and honor the brave men and women who served, with unwavering dedication and purpose, paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep the world safe, and secure the freedom we enjoy today.

Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Villagomez will be signing the proclamation for Memorial Week on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 10am at the Governor’s Conference Room.

Memorial Day ceremony will be at the CNMI Veterans Cemetery in Marpi on Monday, May 26, 2008 at 9am. The Pacific Winds Concert Band will begin with the Pre-ceremonial music at 8:30am. The keynote speaker will be Rear Admiral William French, Commander Naval Forces Marianas. Everyone is invited. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B]
