Rota public hearing rescheduled

The time scheduled for the public hearing of the House Standing Committee on Judiciary and Governmental Operations scheduled on June 7, 2008 from 8am to 5pm has been rescheduled from 8am to 2pm only.

The purpose of this public hearing is to receive testimonies on several pending legislations that include putting the question of calling a Constitutional Convention before the voters of the CNMI, to authorize the election of an Attorney General; amending the Constitution to require the adoption of an annual budget, and to create a new immigration category for long-term alien workers.

Interested members of the public may submit written testimony to the Committee on or before June 30, 2008.
