Santos, Arangorin are top graduates at ChaCha
ChaCha OceanView Jr. High School held its promotional ceremony yesterday for 179 students, honoring Christopher John Santos and Allyssa Arangorin as the school’s top graduates.
Santos was awarded the Commissioner’s Award, the highest award. He was also conferred honors for being the best in language arts, science, social studies, math and wood shop.
“I would like to describe to you that this achievement was challenging. I learned to manage my time wisely between study and play, being able to be resilient. I also learned the virtue of being patient. I was hard working when it came to my studies,” said Santos.
The Principal’s Award, the second highest, went to Arangorin, the daughter of Norbe and Manolo Arangorin.
“It is not hard to reach for our dreams, whether we are rich or poor. It’s in our hands. Our hard work, dedication and when we put God in the center of our lives,” Allyssa said. She acknowledged her mom, dad, brother Justin, best friends Hana and Judy, former teachers, and the rest of the graduates for all that they’ve taught her.
Special awards were given to Keisha Manglona, who was given the Principal’s Leadership Award, and Atdao Rosario, who got the Department of Environmental Quality Award.
The keynote speaker for the event was Aaron Lewis.
Besides Santos and Arangorin, the other top students were Elloise Dana Lotoc, Ronnie Cherise Camacho, Patsylynn Jetley, Kevin Santiago, John Norita, Justin Sablan Kumagai, and Anjannete Narvaez.
