NMI students explore careers in health field

The CNMI Public School System Summer Health Careers Program started on June 8, 2008 and ended on June 20, 2008. The program is for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the field of health.

Students and mentors stayed at Aquarius Beach Tower Hotel for almost two weeks. They had classes in anatomy and physiology, chemistry, math, problem-based learning, English assessment skills, health and wellness, and team building. The classes were held at Saipan Southern High School.

The students also had the opportunity to shadow health care professionals at the local hospital, the Commonwealth Health Center.
