Palms Resort Saipan hosted a summer bash party for the community last Saturday, drawing hundreds of people to the San Roque-based resort.

The first part of the party was from 1pm to 5pm. The other part was scheduled from 6pm to 9pm but was extended for an hour because of rains.

Families enjoyed the free swimming pools, exciting games, and affordable foods. Brad Ruszala hosted the event.

Assistant Food and Beverage manager Christina Lustre says, “The summer bash went great. It was really busy. The locals really enjoyed themselves. We had a good crowd, and everybody wanted the event to come out again.”

“The highlight of the event was what we sold the most, which were the mini-burgers,” adds Lustre.

S2 Club offered some marine sports activities such as kayaking, banana boat, and pedal boats.

During the daytime, Boarderline’s children models performed a fashion show to the delight of the crowd.

Drinks and food were sold from $1 to $3. Foods that were offered included mini-burgers, ice cream, French fries, fried chicken, barbecue, croquettes, bread and pizza.

At night, organizers canceled the swimsuit fashion show due to heavy rains. Close to a hundred adults also enjoyed the “$10 all you can drink promo” as the Big Beats performed at the poolside. Many families booked rooms at the hotel, which offered a $55 one-night stay.

The sponsors for the event were Power 99, Pacific Telecommunication Incorporation, Boarderline, Kiosk, Budweiser, S2 Club, First Hawaiian Bank, Saipan Sunset Cruise, and Ty & Tia Pearl Shake.
