Trench Tech president Cuki Alvarez is reminding all fighters who will be taking part in Saturday’s Fan Appreciation Fight Night that the weight-in will be held at the Trench Tech Gym tomorrow from 5pm to 7pm.

Alvarez also advised military personnel who are coming to the event to bring in their IDs, in case they come in late. He said all troops are free of charge.

As its name already suggests, the first 100 mixed martial arts enthusiasts to come to Trench Tech’s Fan Appreciation Fight Night will be let in free of charge, the next 100 fans will pay $1, and the next 100 fans after will pay $2, and so on.

Fan Appreciation Fight Night will be bannered by seven MMA bouts at the San Antonio Gym, opening with the 130-lb. bout between Alvarick “Pretty Boy” Alvarez and Paul Quizon.

It will be followed by action in the 135-lb. weight class between Gino “Baka” Asanuma and Carl K. Takai.

Fasi “Quickdraw” Jesse will then trade blows and grappling holds with Nathan “Nats” Flores in their 155-lb. encounter.

The fourth MMA match of the evening will then pit T.J. “Yin Yang” Castro against A.J. Santos in the 145-lb. category.

Tom “Lights Out” Kim will then see action in the 160-lb. weight class opposite Sal Limes.

It will be followed by the 150-lb. match between Chris “No Luv” Laayug and John Ogarto.

The final MMA fight of the Fan Appreciation Fight Night will then feature Ton “Double Hit” Sablan against Rick “2Slik” San Nicolas in the super heavyweight class of 200 more lbs.

Aside from the seven MMA fights, Shane “Pikaboo” Alvarez will also see time in the octagon against Angel Santos in their 130-lb. boxing bout.

“Uncle” Ton Arriola will then go up against Jason “Myst” Rios in a kickboxing match in the 140-lb. division.

Two grappling and submission matches will also be held with Nick “2Quick” Shoemake going up against a still unknown opponent in the 165-lb. weight class.

The other grappling and submission match will have Kobee Boy Mendoza taking on John Anthony Hofscneider in the 10-and-under division

And as an added treat, Trench Tech will be bringing back its extremely popular Battle of the Fans where two lucky fans will get drawn and do battle in the octagon cage with extremely oversized boxing gloves for a chance to win prizes.

Doors open for Trench Tech’s Fan Appreciation Fight Night at exactly 5pm.

Cuki Alvarez and Trench Tech have also lined up two more events before the close of the year.

Trench Tech’s Rites of Passage 5: Rise of the Warriors is scheduled for Sept. 27, while Trench Warz 9 is slated for Dec. 6.

Alvarez said like previous Rites of Passage events, Rise of the Warriors will again serve as proving grounds for young talent looking to make it to the big show.

“This event caters to the first- or second-time fighter or fighters who have lost and are looking to redeem their performance and try to earn their ‘rites to pass’…onto bigger more prestigious events.”

Tickets will be sold at $20 for all seating and it will be first-come, first-serve as far as seating arrangements are concerned.

Alvarez, meanwhile, said details of Trench Warz 9—Trench Tech’s final event of 2008—will be forthcoming in the months ahead.
