Plans to construct a multi-million dollar casino on Tinian emerged Thursday after the Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission disclosed that a corporation has submitted a license application for the project.

The Neo Gold Wings Paradise Saipan Corp., the commission said in a statement, has submitted the license application and all the required fees. The commission will now conduct a suitability assessment on the company’s shareholders and other details.

The casino’s principal shareholders are its chairman and president Myung In Hyun and Kwi Dong Woo, the company’s Saipan chairman. The project calls for building a $200 million resort, which will include a 1,000-room hotel, a casino, a water park, and a golf course.

The application marks the latest of several new tourism projects taking shape on Tinian. Already, the island has the Tinian Dynasty Hotel Casino and early construction has begun on the Tinian Oceanview Resort and Condominiums, a project by the Bridge Investment Group. Architects have also recently visited the island to assess the site of a third major hotel project.
