Gov. Benigno R. Fitial is going on YouTube!

Press secretary Charles Reyes Jr. disclosed to Saipan Tribune yesterday that they have already recorded the 10-minute video, which would be uploaded to YouTube anytime.

YouTube (www.youtube.com) is a video sharing website where users can upload, view and share video clips for free.

In the video the governor will be discussing recent events such as the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s crisis and the federalization issue, Reyes said.

“The governor is very busy but he feels that it is necessary to address some of these issues. So what we’ve done is we recorded a message—a direct address for the people of the Commonwealth,” the press secretary said.

He said they videotaped Fitial delivering his message which would also be released to the media.

Reyes said if they manage to complete all the works, the video would be uploaded possibly either this weekend or Monday.

Since they will be using government tools, the YouTube project would incur no cost to the administration, Reyes added.
