Primo’s Home Boys and PTI Voyagers will stake the lead in their respective divisions against separate rivals at the resumption of the 2008 Budweiser Open 8-Ball League tonight.

The Home Boys, who are currently pacing the Obyan Division with an 18-10 win-loss record, will host Coral Reef Barracuda starting at 8pm.

The Barracudas are in fifth place with a 12-16 win-loss mark.

Four other teams that are still capable of catching the Home Boys’ record will continue their campaign.

Third-running Krystal Perfect Spotters will visit fourth-ranked USSP Fotten Palau.

The Perfect Spotters carry a 15-13 card, while Fotten Palau tots a 14-14 card after last week’s matches.

Second-running D’Pirates Huwa (16-12) will host cellar-dweller VFW Warriors (9-19).

D’Pirates is capable of regaining the lead with a victory against the Warriors and hope that the Home Boys will drop their game to the Barracudas.

But the Warriors should not be taken lightly as they are also raring to make up for lost ground following a string of losses.

Another exciting match-up is brewing up in the Agingan Division, as pacesetting PTI Voyagers (22-2) will face Islander Rent A Car.

Islander is tied with SaipanCell Hustlers in second to third places with identical 18-10 win-loss marks.

Gametime is also set at 8pm at Round Two Bar and Grill.

The last time these two teams met at Jonny’s Bar, the host Voyagers won, 3-1, for their seventh consecutive victory since the start of the tournament.

The Hustlers are also gunning for a win as they try to catch up with the Voyagers when they meet unpredictable USSP Wat-Ever at home.

Wat-Ever continued to improve from its earlier so-so performance. The team is now in solo fourth place with 9-15 as it just came off a 2-2 decision versus Islander in their previous assignment.

The other game of the night will be between the last two teams in the Agingan division, as fifth-ranked Godfather’s Rock Steady (9-19) visits sixth-placer Coral Reef Shark Attack (4-24). Shark Attack has never won against a team this season.

Win-loss records are based on the number of rounds won or lost during a match.

Godfather’s halved points with the Hustlers in their last game last Sept. 30, while Shark Attack suffered another devastating 0-4 defeat to the Voyagers on the same night.
