AGO prosecutes five persons

The Attorney General’s Office has filed separate criminal cases against five persons for various offenses.

Ramon Iba Castro, Antonio Castro Dela Cruz, and Joseph Ayuyu Imperial were charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Castro, Dela Cruz, and Imperial were charged in connection with the beating of Ruben A. Arates on Christmas Day of 2007.

Arates was allegedly struck with a 2X4 piece of wood and unopened cans of beer cans. The victim was allegedly hit with the unopened cans of beer in the chest, arms, nose, and right eye side.

In the second case, Bernard Pedro Reyes was charged with two counts of assault and battery for punching and throwing an open can of beer at a teenaged girl and elbowing another minor girl last Oct. 12.

In the third case, Jose Osomai Litulumar was charged with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace for punching Mr. Paul Freeman Lee in the jaw on Feb. 1, 2007.
