Palms Resort Saipan re-opened their Japanese buffet yesterday.

The restaurant was closed for about a year, but the hotel’s new management decided to re-open the restaurant during the lunch hours, said Minako Kayagaki, Advertising Sales representative for the hotel.

The restaurant caters not only to hotel guests but also to local residents, she said.

“The local market really loves Japanese,” Kayagaki said.

Kayagaki said they are hoping about100 people eat at the restaurant each day.

The lunch buffet is open Monday through Saturday.

Adults are $18 and children are $13. There is a discount for locals.
