Saipan Billiards Association’s Budweiser Open 8-Ball League concludes in different pool venues tonight around the island.

Agingan Division leader PTI Voyagers will take on USSP Wat-Ever at the latter’s home with no less than the championship at stake.

Voyagers enter the match with a 44-12 win-loss slate following last week’s 4-0 sweep of Godfather’s Rock Steady.

Wat-Ever, meanwhile, has nothing to play for but pride as it currently runs fourth with a 19-37 slate, buoyed by last week’s 4-0 skunking of Coral Reef Shark Attack.

Voyager’s closest pursuer, SaipanCell Hustlers, still has an outside chance of overtaking the former but needs to win all four games against Shark Attack and hope that Voyagers lose three of four.

Hustlers currently has a 42-14 win-loss card. The team actually was tied with Voyagers entering last week’s match-up with Islander Rent A Car, but they proceeded to drop two of four, exacerbating their hopes of winning the title.

Over in the Obyan Division, Primo’s Home Boys is currently ahead of the pack with a 35-17 win-loss slate. It won all four games last week against Coral Reef Barracuda and takes on the 18-34 VFW Warriors tonight.

The Warriors are coming off a 1-3 loss to D’Pirates Huwa last week.

Perfect Spotters has the same number of wins as Home Boys but has four more loses, one of which was inflicted following its 3-1 win over Barracuda last week. It squares off against Warriors tonight.

USSP Fotten Palau (31-25) hopes to improve against 19-37 Barracuda tonight. Fotten Palau is coming off a 4-0 win over D’Pirates Huwa.

Pacific Amusement, the same company that runs the leagues of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association, organizes the SBA-Budweiser Open 8-Ball League.
