The scheduled first day of meeting yesterday between non-U.S. citizen employees at the Department of Public Health and Health Secretary Joseph Kevin Villagomez regarding the impact of federalization was cancelled.

The succeeding sessions set for today up to Friday will still push through.

Foreign nurses and other employees at the department fear losing their job once the federal government takes over local immigration by June 1.

But employees are thankful that Villagomez will meet with them to ease their worries. (Saipan Tribune)
