The first ever basketball free throw competition will be held at the Garapan basketball court. Registration will begin at 2pm and the competition will start at 4pm. The Autism Society of the CNMI will be holding its monthly meeting today, Feb. 12, 2009, at 5:30pm at the NMPASI Conference Room. Puengin Inetnon will again be held at the Kagman Community Center’s parking lot tomorrow, Feb. 13, 2009. Puengin Inetnon is Kagman’s Friday Night Market that will take place every government payday. It will begin at 4:30pm and end at 10pm. There will vendors selling food, drinks, snacks, clothing, and crafts. Puengin Inetnon is a family oriented event. Alcohol will be prohibited from the event. All are welcome. Come attend Puengin Inetnon for some family fun, right here in Kagman. Kagman’s Saturday Flea Market will be on Feb. 14, 2009, at the Kagman Community Center’s parking lot. It will be held every government payday Saturday. You may only sell your used items. Friends of the Mariana Islands will lead their monthly cleanup of Laulau Beach this Sunday, Feb. 15. The cleanup will start at 8am at the yellow beach pavilion refurbished by American Red Cross last year. FMI will provide bags and gloves. Please bring a friend. Kagman High School’s Yearbook Class ’09 presents “Cupid’s Ball” on Feb. 21, 2009, Saturday, at the Saipan World Resort, from 6pm to 10pm. Entertainment will be provided by Power 99 DJ Niana Dela Cruz, KHS Mr. & Mrs. Cupid, and a fashion show. Ticket prices, which include a dinner buffet, is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with U.S. Naval Forces Marianas, said the U.S. military will be conducting live fire training on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla from Feb. 9 to 13, 7am to 6pm. The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. Due to the danger imposed by this activity, EMO is strongly advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—to stay away from this area during the time and date indicated.
