Cosmo travel supplement to feature Saipan
Cosmopolitan, a monthly fashion magazine, will produce a supplement titled “Cosmopolitan Travel” in conjunction with its July 2009 issue. The Korean-language edition of this supplement will include information about Saipan, focusing on water sports and other adventure activities, hotels and resorts, restaurants, bars, and shopping. From March 23-27 two reporters will visit Saipan to gather first-hand information.
The Cosmopolitan reporters will experience numerous attractions on Saipan during their visit. They will visit hotels, restaurants, spas, shops and night spots, as well as take a trip to Managaha Island for a first-hand familiarity with water sports and activities. Special tours of the island are also planned.
“Cosmopolitan is one of the best selling young women’s magazines,” noted Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Perry Tenorio. “The Korean market is very important to us, and we believe that the young women of Korea will be very interested in all that Saipan has to offer.”
Cosmopolitan, published by Hearst Magazines, has 58 international editions and is printed in 34 languages. The magazine is distributed in more than 100 countries. It was first published in Korea in 2000. Thirty thousand copies of this 34-page Cosmopolitan travel supplement will be distributed with its regular circulation of 100,000. The estimated value of the coverage is $102,000 US. (MVA)
