SANTA RITA, Guam—Sailors from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 will conduct search and rescue jumps ON March 25, 5pm-8pm in Apra Harbor. The exercise will take place about 200 yards off of Gab Gab and San Luis Beach on U.S. Naval Base Guam. Guam Fire and Rescue Units will support the exercise.

Safety observers will be in place for the duration of the exercise, which will provide training for pilots and rescue swimmers. HSC-25 provides 24-hour search and rescue and medical evacuation services for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

HSC-25 also is the Navy’s only forward deployed vertical replenishment squadron and provides deployed ships a rapid, safe and versatile means of re-supplying diminishing stores. The Navy command is based out of Andersen Air Force Base. (PR)
