The Bangladesh Cultural Group in the Northern Mariana Islands is inviting all members of the Bangladeshi community and the general public to a celebration of the Bangladesh New Year today, April 14, at the Garapan Central Park, from 6pm to 11pm.

The celebration, called Suvo Noboborsho, will usher in the Bangladeshi year of 1416 and will feature several cultural activities like songs, dances, and others. There will also be dinner, serving Bangladeshi food. Organizers have invited some special guests to the event, including Rep. Tina Sablan and Marianas High School teacher Ron Hodges.

“We would like to invite everybody to come and see our cultural show and to join us in celebrating the Bangladesh new year,” said Rakibul Islam Minto, president of the Bangladesh Cultural Group, and Habiullah Badal, secretary. (PR)
