Tenorio leads Senior League batters
Eric Tenorio of the San Roque D-9ers emerged as the batting leader in the Senior League division of the 2009 Saipan Little League.
Tenorio averaged .563, hitting 18-for-32, according to the latest statistics submitted by the league.
Juan Maratita of the Fielders is running second with his .514 (19-for-37), while Eli Augenbaugh of the pacesetting Jets is third with his .475 (19-for-40).
Making it to the Top 5 are Tony Aguon of the Fielders, fourth with his .462 (12-for-26) and Richard Dela Cruz of Lion King, fifth with his .444 (12-for-27).
Included in the lower half of the Top 10 are Mike Iguel of Ol’Aces, sixth (.438), Tom Agulto of Fielders, seventh (.425), Nokki Saralu of Fielders, eighth (.417), Mart Sablan of D-9ers, ninth (.407), and Peter Tenorio of Fielders, 10th (.400).
Two Jets are in 11th to 12th—Henry Nakamura (.378) and Justin Kintol (.367).
Michael Mafnas of Ol’Aces is in the 13th spot (.344) and Dave Jones of D-9ers is at 14th (.344).
Joshua Jones of the Jets went at-bat the most times at 45, but could only hit 15 and is at 15th place with his .333 average.
However, Jones has the lowest ERA of 1.15 after four earned runs in 24.1 innings pitched.
Nokki Lizama of the Fielders is second with his 1.83 (six earned runs in 23 innings) and Augenbaugh of the Jets is third with 1.97 (three earned runs in 10.2 innings).
Rounding off to the Top 10 in ERA are Anthony Leon Guerrero of Ol’Aces, fourth (2.33), Eric Tenorio of D-9ers, fifth (2.63), Juan Maratita of Fielders, sixth (2.74), Dave Jones of D-9ers, seventh (2.80), Harry Nakamura of Jets, eighth (3.90), Peter Tenorio of Fielders, ninth (.4.30), and Mike Iguel of Ol’Aces, 10th (5.17).
Three pitchers are tied with the most strikeouts—Jones, Nakamura, and Saralu—retiring 32 batters so far.
Dave Jones made 28, Dominic Chargualaf of Lion King had 22, Dela Cruz, Iguel, and Leon Guerrero all came up with 17, while Maratita and Augenbaugh recorded 15 apiece.
Maratita has the most runs with 19, Saralu has the most doubles with five, Joshua Jones leads in triples with six, while Augenbaugh currently tops the homerun and RBI departments with three and 16, respectively.
