[B]Wellness Family Fun Fair on Saturday[/B]

The 2nd Annual Wellness Family Fun Fair will be held this Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Minachom Atdau Pavilion on Kilili Beach, from 6am to noon.

Activities include:

* Walk-A-Thon that begins at 6:30am. Free t-shirt to the first 200 people. Registration starts at 6am.

* Tai Chi demonstration by Barry Wicksman at 8:30am. Everyone is encouraged to participate and experience the health benefits of Tai Chi!

* Music by Ellena Sutton – chacha/reggae. Join the chacha contest.

* A Commonwealthwide essay contest

* Paddling. Cheer on the high school paddlers at the season’s opening race, then try to paddle or just enjoy a canoe ride, compliments of Fatuul Outrigger Canoe Club and Mt. Carmel High School Team.

* Many other activities and prizes.

Live fire releases on FDM[/B]

The U.S. military will be conducting live fire releases on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla on May 5, 2009, from 10am to 2pm.

The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla Training Area (R7201) on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity, the Emergency Management Office is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.

PAWS meeting tomorrow[/B]

On Thursday, April 30, PAWS is having a no-host meeting at Coffee Care in Garapan. The meeting is open to open to the public. All those interested in volunteering for PAWS and saving the non-profit organization are encouraged to attend the meeting. Saipan Cockfight Board sets meeting[/B]

There will be a special meeting for the Saipan Cockfight Board on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 9am, at the Saipan Mayor’s Office in San Antonio, below the Department of Labor at Afetnas Square. The purpose of this meeting is to adopt the new proposed rules and regulations of the Saipan cockfight game and to conduct a protest hearing brought before the board. Top Pool Bar open 8-ball tournament
[/B] Attention top pool shooters: You are all invited to an open 8-ball tournament every Saturday at Top Pool Bar. Entrance fee will be $10. Double elimination format will be applied with a maximum of 16 players. BCA rules will be used. Free practice between 7pm-8pm. A standard 9 1/2 table with new carpet will be used. Puengin Inetnon resumes next Friday[/B]

Puengin Inetnon will resume again starting on Friday, May 8, at 4:30pm-10pm at the Kagman Community Center Parking Lot. Puengin Inetnon is Kagman’s Friday Night Market for food, drinks, snacks, clothing, arts and crafts. It will be held every government payday Friday. The Kagman Komunidat Association is looking for vendors to sell produce and fish due to popular demand by customers. Other vendors are also invited. Kagman Flea Market next Saturday[/B]

The Kagman Saturday Flea Market will resume again starting on Saturday, May 9 at 8am at the Kagman Community Center Parking Lot. It will be held every government payday Saturday. Individuals can sell their used items for only $5 and will be provided with a tent and table. Come and sell your used item at the fastest growing village in the Marianas.
