Tinian DPS to conduct checkpoints

The Tinian Department of Public Safety would like to inform the public that the Traffic Section will be conducting OP/CR Checkpoint this week.

The first OP/CR Checkpoint will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, along west bound lane on Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village, the checkpoint will commence at 7am. The checkpoint will last approximately 75 minutes and will be terminated at 8:15am.

The second setup will be along east bound on Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village. The checkpoint will commence at 11am. The checkpoint will last approximately 75 minutes and will be terminated at 12:15pm.

The second OP/CR Checkpoint will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, along Marpo Valley road by Hofschneider’s warehouse. The checkpoint will commence at 7am. The checkpoint will last approximately 75 minutes and will be terminated at 8:15am.

The third OP/CR Checkpoint will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009, along Broadway Road by Potmer Tinian Democrat headquarters. The checkpoint will commence at 6:30am. The checkpoint will last approximately 75 minutes and will be terminated at 7:45am.

The second setup will be along west bound along Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village. The checkpoint will last approximately 75 minutes and will be terminated at 12:15pm.

The fourth OP/CR Checkpoint will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, Broadway Road on the southbound lane across Star Plaza. The checkpoint will commence at 6pm. The checkpoint will last approximately 75 minutes and will be terminated at 7:15pm.

All the checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain.

In addition to the checkpoints, will be conducting Highway Criminal Interdictions and laser activities.
