Police arrested over the weekend a man who allegedly threw a rock at his girlfriend’s car and broke its front windshield on Saturday in Kagman.

Anthony Jay Casil, 21, was arrested for criminal mischief and disturbing the peace. Bail was set at $100 cash and $900 unsecured bond.

Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan stated in her report that a patrol officer had responded to Kagman I Saturday afternoon after a criminal mischief complaint was called to the Department of Public Safety. The victim and her father met the patrol officer at Santa Soledad Church in Kagman.

The victim told the officer that she and her boyfriend, Casil, were at a store with her 11-year-old brother earlier that day when a Ford Explorer SUV came and parked on the left side of their car.

A little girl opened the front right passenger door and hit their car. The girl apologized so the victim told her it was okay. Casil, however, got mad and opened the driver’s door and hit the Explorer thrice. The girlfriend yelled at Casil because in doing so he was also damaging their car.

When they left the store, Casil allegedly drove recklessly on the road and on the gravel road until they reached the house of his uncle.

Casil slammed the car’s door and also punched the window then walked away. The girlfriend left him there as she went back home to drop off her 11-year-old brother.

The girlfriend later went back to Casil to get her laptop. As she was backing up the car to leave, she heard something hit the windshield and it cracked. Casil then walked up to her and laughed. She left and called her father, who then called the police.
