The SUFA Softball Association is holding its third fundraiser softball tournament this weekend from Friday, Aug. 12. to Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Capital Hill Ballfield.

In addition, organizers are holding a 6pm coaches, managers and team representatives meeting tonight at the pavilion adjacent to Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Moreover, the anticipated raffle drawing will take place during Sunday’s games.

The entrance fee to participate is only $100 per team. Organizers are hoping for at least 12 teams this weekend and slots are available.

The tournament will follow a double-elimination format with a modified co-ed rule where at least two female players must be on the field (and in the lineup) at all times.

Prizes are up for grabs to the Top 3 place finishers, but have not yet been determined.

Proceeds of the event will go toward Team SUFA’s trip to Portland, Oregon to compete in the 2011 Annual Labor Day Softball Tournament.
