Mother and son arrested for alleged sex abuse of minor
A mother and son were arrested on Tinian on Monday, while a 38-year-old man was nabbed on Saipan that same day, for separate alleged sexual abuse of two female minors.
In the Tinian case, Alvin P. Lizama, 28, allegedly raped a minor, while his mother, Admanita P. Lizama, allegedly ignored the girl’s complaint.
As a result of the rape, the girl became pregnant and delivered a baby in June 2011, police said.
Alvin Lizama was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, sexual assault in the first degree, and assault and battery. Admanita P. Lizama, 49, was arrested for child neglect, and failure to report.
In the Saipan case, Wayne Camacho Lizama, 38, allegedly touched the private parts of a 14-year-old girl and asked her to have sex with him. Wayne Lizama was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree and disturbing the peace.
At yesterday’s hearing, Superior Court associate judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed a $50,000 cash bail on Alvin Lizama and $25,000 cash bail each for Admanita Lizama and Wayne Lizama.
Preliminary hearing will be on Aug. 18, 2011 at 9am.
Assistant attorney general Shelli Neal appeared for the government at the hearing.
Detective Joann A. Pangelinan stated in her report that police learned about the Tinian incident after the girl’s mother told police on March 29, 2011, that Alvin Lizama had impregnated her 14-year-old daughter.
During detective Vince Mareham’s interview with the victim, the girl said that Alvin Lizama began harassing her sometime in 2010 via text messages where he would tell her he loves her and other messages. The girl showed the messages to Admanita Lizama, who only told her to ignore her son because he was probably drunk.
Almost everyday, Alvin Lizama would allegedly send her text messages and the girl said she would just ignore him. One night in October 2010, however, she was surprised to see Alvin Lizama inside her room sitting on her desk. The girl woke up Alvin Lizama’s son, who asked his father what he was doing inside the room and how he got there. Alvin Lizama left the room without saying anything. The girl and Alvin Lizama’s son told Admanita Lizama what happened, but she didn’t believe them.
The girl alleged that one time Alvin Lizama locked her in the room and raped her. The following day, the girl stayed all day inside her room, crying. She told Admanita Lizama what her son did to her. Admanita Lizama allegedly told her to stop lying.
As months passed by, the girl became bigger and bigger. She told Admanita Lizama to bring her to the hospital for a check-up, but Admanita Lizama told her she was just gaining weight. The girl was never checked at the hospital for seven months. She bought a pregnancy kit and that’s how she found out that she was pregnant.
In the Saipan incident, detective Flora Danica Aguon stated in her report that on Feb. 23, 2011, a police officer was dispatched to a residence in Chinatown for a reported sexual abuse case.
Detective Aguon learned from the child and the family that Wayne Lizama touched the girl’s private parts on Feb. 19 while they were in the car, prompting her to slap his hand away.
Two days later, Wayne Lizama allegedly asked the girl to show him her private parts and have sex with him but she refused.
Wayne Lizama allegedly insisted, but when the girl refused again, he told her he was just testing her and that it was only a joke.
The detective said that during his interview with Wayne Lizama on July 4, the suspect claimed he only tickled the girl in the stomach and could not remember if he accidentally touched her private parts.
He also allegedly admitted that he wanted to see if the girl would be willing to have sex with him.
