Korean university students complete English course at NMC
The Northern Marianas College’s Division of Community Programs and Services’ Community Development Institute recently recognized 40 individuals for completing training in the English Language Development Course.
The individuals are students from Tongmyong University in South Korea who visited Saipan for various community service activities around the island and to learn more about the English language.
In CDI’s English language course, the participants learned the fundamentals of the English language, including the grammatical concepts necessary for interactive skills development. Throughout the course, students practiced these concepts through various conversation, reading, and written exercises.
CDI provides a range of specialized academic courses, non-traditional courses, customized training such as “customer service” and “computer literacy” courses, outreach and extended program services, personal enrichment, and community-based learning that are accessible and affordable to the public.
