POLO offers new classes for OFWs

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office of the Philippine Consulate General will be offering a course on Domestic Refrigeration and Aircon Mechanic as one of its training courses from August to October.

The course, which will be taught by James Abuy, will be held for six Saturdays—from Sept. 3 to Oct. 8, at 2pm to 5pm.

The Basic Computer Operations 1 (Batch 53) will be held from 1pm to 5pm on Aug. 14 and 21 for Module 1; Aug. 28 and Sept. 11 for Module 2; and Sept. 18 and 25 for Module 3. Course instructors will be Zaldy Quebral and Marilyn Quebral.

The Mandarin Language Course will be offered for the second time from 1pm to 5pm on six Sundays from Aug. 14 to Sept. 25, except Sept. 4. Reynaldo Garcia will serve as the course instructor.

There will also be culinary courses and business management seminar on different dishes: Japanese, Aug. 20; Filipino, Aug. 27; Chinese, Sept. 3; Sauce Making, Sept. 10; and Salad Dressing, Sept. 17. These courses will be conducted from 8:30am to 1:30pm by Hermie Coronejo.

The classes will be held at the Filipino Workers Resource Center on the ground floor of Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.

Registration for all courses will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon registration, applicants are required to bring their umbrella permit or parole-in-place, Philippine passport, and one ID picture.
