GAMECON set for Aug. 27
The biggest video gaming competition in the CNMI—GAMECON—is back.
Video gamers will get another chance to earn cash and bragging rights through Glimpses of Saipan’s GAMECON 2011 event which will be held on Aug. 27 from 11am to 8:30pm at Saipan Grand Hotel’s Club V.
Over $1,500 cash prizes will be given away, plus other surprises and certificates for the best video gamers and teams.
Gamers can play as individuals or teams and can choose to compete for Halo Reach, League of Legends or NBA Live (subject to change).
Registration is ongoing and forms can be obtained at Megabyte (call 235-6111) Glimpses of Saipan office located at the second floor of Transpacific Business Center in Gualo Rai (atop Dial Rent to Own), Safety First, and Megazone in Chalan Piao.
Tickets for gamers are sold at $20 each with free coupon of Scoops. Audience tickets are sold at $5 each. Box lunches prepared by the hotel will be sold at the lobby.
Children below 7 are not allowed inside the gaming venue. Minors require parental consent to play the games.
