DHS files 30 more removal cases
The Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement has filed new removal cases against 30 persons before the Saipan U.S. Immigration Court.
U.S. Immigration Judge Dayna Beamer from Hawaii conducted from Monday to Wednesday the hearings of the new cases along with the other removal cases that were previously filed.
Named as respondents in the new removal cases are Yue Juan He, Henedina Dela Cruz, Tai Long Jin, Yan Wang, George Wilson Satoshi, Celia Dela Cruz, Ponnu Selvam Nadar, Venus Palanan Adtoon, Amalia Abo Guanlao, and Shuqing Qiu.
The initial hearings of the 10 respondents were conducted on Monday. All appeared in court.
Judge Beamer held the hearings of the 20 new cases on Tuesday. The respondents are Zhanshan Zhang, Antonieta Bonifacio Aguon, Camilo Javier Jr., Ricky Salibad Luis, Virginia Babuta, Jinshan Wu, Leah B. Mendoza, Gil Yaranon Ogarro, Wayne Weilbacher Jack, Joefrey Noble, Jeanette Manicdao, Aquilino Castillo, Elvis Bisela Tibong, Guodao Jin, Yolanda Roque Oringo, Xiaoli Lu, Dongmei Ju, Guolin Xiao, Eufracio Ramoso Mabansag, and Natividad Santos Mabansag.
Of the 20 respondents, Zhang, Noble, Jin, and Xiao did not show up.
Saipan Tribune counted close to 200 removal cases that have been filed with the Saipan Immigration Court since the federalization law took effect on Nov. 28, 2009. Many of the respondents are those having criminal convictions.
The immigration court had already declared many of those respondents as removable, but were allowed to voluntarily depart the CNMI.
