New nonprofit aims to help entrepreneurs
Based in the CNMI, the Island Renew Project opened its doors in July of this year. The nonprofit’s mission is to improve the lives of island residents through the fostering of economic sustainability and job creation.
Even though the CNMI faces challenging times, IRP believes islands are full of talented people with great ideas and big dreams. These aspiring entrepreneurs are the key to the Commonwealth’s economic recovery and will be the engine of growth in the CNMI.
In the coming months, IRP will offer “plug and play” technologies that significantly lower the barriers and costs of starting a new business. These tools will be offered at cost and will enhance the abilities of local entrepreneurs to promote and manage their business.
IRP is offering free workshops and informational seminars with our local partners in the coming months. These sessions are a chance for anyone who has ever considered starting a business to learn more.
