SSC free swim clinic on Oct. 13

The Saipan Swim Club in cooperation with the Mariana Resort & Spa will be hosting a free swim clinic on Oct. 13 at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool in Marpi.

No less than XTERRA pro Mieko Carey will hold the clinic that will run from 5pm to 6pm.

“This clinic is open to children who can swim freestyle, but want to improve their techniques. It will be good practice for the upcoming All Schools Meet. It will focus on stroke techniques and kicking,” SSC’s Lisa Kimball said in an email to Saipan Tribune.

Interested participants must pre-register by Oct. 11, as only 20 slots are allotted for the one-hour clinic.

Kimball added that they hope to hold a few more clinics in the future both for adults and children.
