Paire regrouped after a loss in Week 3, whipping Matansa, 6-0, in the boys U18 division of the 2011 NMIFA Youth Football Fall League last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex.

The win was the third in four games for Paire, putting the team back in the lead and a game ahead of defending champion MP United. Matansa remained winless in three games.

Evert Van Der Maas scored back-to-back goals for Paire, while Bryan Lee and Timothy Tawanpiy contributed one each in the first half. Maas made the twin goals in a span of eight minutes, while Lee lit up the scoreboard past the halfway mark of the first frame, and Tawanpiy added one more goal 30 seconds before the halftime break.

In the second half, goalie Don Cabrera switched to the forward spot and found the back of the net with only five minutes gone by in the final frame for Paire’s commanding 5-0 lead. Paire’s sixth and final goal came from Hunter Jewell, who scored in the 69th minute.
