Lion’s Club health fair this Sunday
Lion’s Club International in District 204, Region 2 this weekend will be holding its annual health fair, which will provide medical services, demonstrations, and distributions free of charge.
The socio-civic organization will hold its annual health fair this Sunday, March 31, from 8am to 12pm at the Joeten Daidai Social Hall at the Mt. Carmel Cathedral in Susupe.
The organization noted that it would be providing services such as blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, vision checks, diabetes awareness, cancer awareness, oral cancer screenings, cardiopulmonary resuscitation demonstrations, reading glasses distribution, and general health awareness.
The organization further noted that the health fair seeks to promote “general health awareness that will improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle” according to an announcement from the organization.
The Lion’s Club International District 204, Region 2 is composed of six clubs on Saipan, namely the Saipan Fil-Am Lion’s Club, the Saipan Unity Lion’s Club, the Saipan Marianas Lion’s Club, the Saipan Alliance Lion’s Club, the Saipan Natibu Lion’s Club, and the Saipan Centennial Lion’s Club.
“Each [club] can create their own projects on club level in which we focus on five services challenge for youth, environment, vision, hunger, and diabetes,” the organization noted in a statement.
