HAGATNA, Guam (AP)-Metal flushers from public bathrooms at a Guam national park have been stolen.

Park employees discovered the missing flushers Tuesday from both restrooms at Gaan Point, a World War II invasion beach that’s part of the War in the Pacific National Historical Park.

The Pacific Daily News reports it’s the second time in three months that burglars have targeted national parks toilets.

Park Superintendent Barbara Alberti says it seems the burglars have plumbing experience because of the way the flushers were detached from toilets.

A metal door and some bathroom piping were also taken.

Metal thefts are common on Guam, where stolen scrap is sold for cash.
