CHILD SUPPORT SESSION TOMORROW
The Office of the Attorney General’s URESA Section will be conducting a Child Support Initiating Session tomorrow, Feb. 15, 2005, at the Multi-Purpose Center, from 5pm to 8pm.
The session aims to assist custodial parents with children in the CNMI in seeking child support from non-custodial parents residing outside of the CNMI.
All interested individuals should bring a copy of the child(ren)’s birth certificate and any court order or document regarding child support and/or custody.
HJHS TO DISTRIBUTE PROGRESS REPORTS
The Hopwood Junior High School will be distributing progress reports tomorrow, Feb. 15.
The Parents Teachers Students Association meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 6pm in the HJHS cafeteria
Feb. 21, Monday, is a holiday. There will be no school.
Feb. 24 will be a Student Achievement Information Night for all HJHS parents and community members. We will meet in the cafeteria 6pm-7pm. Parents will receive an overview of our math and language arts programs.
CHILD RESTRAINT CHECKPOINTS FOR ROTA
The Department of Public Safety announced that it would conduct three seatbelt and car seat checkpoints on Rota next Saturday, Feb. 19.
The first setup will be on San Francisco Highway in Teteto between Sweet and Things Store and the southern end of Teteto Beach from 9am to 10:15am.
The second setup will be on San Francisco Highway in Sonton between the Veterans’ Memorial Park and the northern end of Rota Hotel from 12pm to 1:15pm.
The third setup will be on San Francisco Highway in Tatachog near the Tatachog pavilion from 3pm to 4:15pm.
DPS said the checkpoints will be terminated if it begins to rain.

FRG MEETING ON THURSDAY
The Echo Company, 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Family Readiness Group will have a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at the Reserve Center at 6pm.

The Chamorro-Carolinian Language Policy Commission, Department of Community & Cultural Affairs is sponsoring an essay and jingle contest for all public and private schools.
