Sponsors are slowly coming in to support the scheduled 3-on-3 Street Ball Jamboree on April 19 at the Garapan Basketball Court.

Victory Chapel in Garapan organized the one-day street basketball tournament and the event will run from 3pm to 9pm at the Garapan court across Bank of Guam.

Some of the businesses that threw in or committed supporting the tournament are Shell Marianas, Marianas Pacific Distributors Inc. (MARPAC), Coca Cola Micronesia, Herman’s Bakery, Pacific Trading Co. Ltd. (Pepsi), Micronesian Brokers Inc., Pacific Islands Club, Saipan World Resort, McDonald’s Saipan, Mary’s Bakery, Triple J Five Star Wholesale, Saipan Ice & Water, Joeten Corp., Yaong Corp., Fiesta Resort & Spa, Century Insurance, Hyatt Regency Saipan, and Coral Ocean Point.

The tournament is open to men’s division teams ages 16-and-over and a minimum of four or maximum of five players are allowed in each squad. The registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and number of teams will be limited to 16.

The tournament, one of Victory Chapel’s community projects for the year, will follow a knockout system format where the top two teams after the elimination round will vie for the $300 top prize, while the runner-up settles for $180.

Cash prizes and other exciting giveaways, donated by various sponsors, will be raffled throughout the contest. Organizers are inviting everyone to join them in the one-day tournament.

The entrance fee is $30 per team.
