The Department of Public Safety has placed on its wanted list an ex-convict who was among four suspects who allegedly burglarized and stole items from warehouses of the defunct MGM Garment Manufacturing in Chalan Piao.

DPS spokesperson Eric David said Superior Court associate judge Kenneth Govendo issued an arrest warrant for Jake A. Ito on Thursday.

David said the DPS Thief Apprehensive Select Coalition is asking the public for information on the whereabouts of Ito.

Ito is described as 31 years old, about 5’6” tall, weighs around 130 lbs, has black hair with a goatee, and dark colored skin.

Ito was last seen in the vicinity of Susupe and Chalan Kanoa area, said David.

“Mr. Ito has a history of violent criminal acts. The public is advised not to approach him and is urged to call 911,” David said.

Police arrested over the weekend Ito’s co-defendants—Sharp Ngirutoi, Franco Edboy, and Donny Swei.

Police investigation showed that on April 5, the four suspects broke into the warehouses of the former MGM Garment factory and stole an air compressor, three exhaust fans, and other metal items.

The suspects sold the items, except the air compressor, to Triple Star Recycling Center. Police traced the air compressor to a residence in Koblerville.
