HR group takes up changes to alien worker regs

The Society for Human Resource Management has invited Labor director Dean Tenorio, Employment director Alfred Pangelinan, and assistant attorney general Jay Livingstone to speak at its special half-day meeting.

These guest speakers will discuss the recent amendments to the Alien Worker Regulations, which are now being implemented. These regulations will affect public and private sector employers in the CNMI.

“Join us to learn more about the new Alien Worker Regulations and how they affect your organization,” the Society said in a statement.

The meeting will be held at the Charley’s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club Saipan on Aug. 19, from 8am to 1pm. The cost, including morning refreshments and lunch, is $35 for SHRM members and $45 for non-SHRM members.

All SHRM members are urged to join their peers for this current and informative presentation. Non-members in the business community, whether owners, managers or human resource professionals are invited to learn more about the Society and to improve their human resource knowledge through the presentation and discussion.
