Striving to continue provide convenient services to customers, Verizon continues to send its StarCruizer van around the island during weekends, bringing would-be customers the opportunity to purchase inexpensive cellular phones with prepaid cards at areas closer to their homes.

The StarCruizer van was active again Saturday, with operators Mike Duenas and Judd Chaudhry traveling to the eastern village of the island, stationing at Kagman Market.

Equipped with the Modotell WCE-100 and Kyocern 2235 cell phones at a low price of $59.99, Duenas and Chaudhry enjoyed the cool breeze, providing retail services to interested customers from 10am to 2pm.

“Some people don’t have a ride, so we come out to you,” Chaudhry said. “It’s a lot more convenient, people don’t have to go far from their homes.”

While supplies last, all purchased cell phones includes a free $10 phone card, leather case, and a car charger.

Chaudhry said the weekend activity used to be located at Dolphin Wholesale in San Jose, however, since the StarCruizer van was purchased, “we were able to go around the island.”

Chaudhry also indicated a spike in sales, stemming from the idea of providing their services at various locations around the island.

The activity continues with the StarCruizer van’s next stop at the Hollywood Theatre in San Jose.
