Saipan Southern High PTSA meeting postponed
Saipan Southern High School would like to inform the general public that its monthly meeting set for March 15 has been postponed until further notice.

Kagman Elementary School registration
Kagman Elementary School will start registering children for grades Kindergarten to 5th for school year 2005-2006. Registration begins on April 4, 2005 and ends on April 29, 2005 from 9am to 4pm daily. Kagman Elementary will register children from the following areas only: Kagman I, II, III, Upper Papago (Botanical Garden to Kagman), Agag, and As Teo.
For Kindergarten students, child must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31.
For 1st grade students, child must be 6 years old on or before August 31st.
The following documents must be submitted for your child(ren) to be enrolled:
1. Official Registration Form
2. Birth Certificate
3. CHC Health Certificate (Original)
4. Transcript/Report Card/Withdrawal from exiting school
5. Entry Permit, if not a U.S. citizen
6. Affidavit of Guardianship/Power of Attorney (if applicable)
7. Map of residency
8. Health Insurance Policy
All students registering must have complete documents submitted on or before the end of the designated registration dates. Incomplete documents will not be accepted.

Oleai Elementary School registration
Oleai Elementary School announces that the registration for school year 2005-2006 will begin for all incoming Kindergartens and new 1st graders. Registration will start on Friday, April 1, 2005 and will end on Friday, April 29, 2005, from 8am to 4pm. Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by end of August 2005 and students entering 1st grade must be 6 years old by end of August 2005.
For students transferring into Oleai Elementary School, (Grades 2nd through 6th) registration will be in June to July 2005.
Documents required for registration are:
1. Birth certificate (from the court)
2. School entrance Health Certificate
3. Current Accident or Health Insurance Coverage
4. Residency Map
5. Legal Adoption/Guardianship documents (if applicable)
6. Valid CNMI entry permit (if applicable)
7. Transfer-In/Withdrawal forms and report card from previous school for transfer-in students
Oleai Elementary School zone covers the areas bounded by south of Hongkong Restaurant on Beach Road to Quarter Master, Gualo Rai, Middle Road Chalan Laulau, Chalan Kiya (Golf Course), bottom of As Terlaje Hill, North of Island Market to Falughula, and San Jose (Oleai).

Saipan Community School enrolment going on
Parents who have sons/daughters enrolled in Saipan Community School are encouraged to enroll them for school year 2005-2006 this month.
SCS said March 24 would be the last day to sign up before open enrollment starts on April 4.

Wanted: HS students for cultural exchange
The Wakai Nekko No Kai Committee is currently seeking high school students who are interested in participating in cultural exchange activities with Japanese high school and college students on May 4 and 5.
The Japanese students will be visiting Saipan aboard the Fuji Maru Ocean University and a number of activities with local high school and college students are being planned for the two days that the group is here.
This year marks the 37th consecutive year that the Wakai Nekko No Kai group has been coming to Saipan as part of its student cultural exchange program.

All tests will be from 10am to 12pm in NMC Campus, Bldg D-Room 1.
Things you need to bring:
* Picture ID Pen/Pencil
* Calculator (Optional. May not be shared)
* Acceptable Picture ID’S (No ID – no test)
* NMC Picture ID (needed to be entered into the system)
* Driver’s License
* Passport
* Other school picture ID
* CNMI Immigration Card
First come, first served basis only. No reservations. Limited seats available. No admittance to the testing room will be allowed after the starting time listed above. Math placement slips are good for one year from test date.

NMC math placement test in May
The Northern Marianas College has scheduled its Summer 2005 Math Placement Test in May.
Sessions will take place on two successive Fridays with the first test scheduled on May 13 from 10am to 12pm at Room D-1 of the NMC campus.
The second test will be held a week later on May 20, also from 10am to 12pm at Room D-1 of the NMC campus.
Those taking the test each need to bring a picture ID, pen or pencil, a calculator, and an acceptable form of identification.
Acceptable forms of identification include NMC picture ID (needed to be entered into the system), driver’s license, passport, other school picture ID, or CNMI Immigration Card.
Those taking the tests cannot reserve slots for the tests, as the tests are on a first-come, first-served basis only.
The tests will also have limited seats available and the examiner will not admit late comers into the testing room after the test has started.
NMC also said that math placement slips are good for one year from test date and a placement test can only be taken once a year. (PR)
