‘Life’s too short to drink bad wine’
That is the slogan of the Wine Cellar located on Capitol Hill, next to Coffee Care.
The newly decorated Wine Cellar offers a large variety of fine international wines and beers.
Most of the wines come from Australia, which produces outstanding vintages due to favorable climate conditions. Unlike Europe and the United States, where frost sets in in early autumn, Australia can leave the grapes maturing for a longer period, therefore producing more fruit sugar, which then ferment into a higher percentage of alcohol.
Australian brand names offered at the wine cellar are Penfolds, Rosemount Estate, Lindemans, Wolf Blass, De Bertoli and Yellow Tail. On white wines we carry Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Semillon and for reds we have Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Lambrusco.
The Wine Cellar also imports Australian Foster and Victoria bitter draft beer for distribution to hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs throughout the island.
It is scientifically proven that moderate wine consumption is beneficial to your health. In countries where the drinking of wine is widespread, less people die of coronary and circulatory diseases than elsewhere. This fact, the so-called “French paradox,” is acknowledged worldwide.
Regular and moderate consumption of wine lowers the risk of cardiac arrest, stimulates blood circulation, lowers cholesterol level, and supports the digestive system.
It also decontaminates the entire body by washing out waste substances and toxins from the kidneys, supports resistance against diseases, reduces the viability of bacteria and viruses, and strengthens the immune system.
