Company runs after IBPC’s debt

A company sued the CNMI International Business and Professional College yesterday over allegedly unpaid debt amounting close to $6,000.

Island Business System and Supply filed with the Superior Court a civil action against the college over a debt arising from the lease of equipment. Jones and Guerrero Corp. owns Island Business.

Island Business’ attorney, Michael White, said his client and the IBPC entered into an equipment lease contract on July 15, 2003. White said the IBPC defaulted on its payment of the lease.

White said the IBPC owes his client over $5,890 plus interest. He asked the court to award Island Business the said amount plus interest and other costs arising from initiating legal action. (John Ravelo)
