Beginning with today’s issue, the Saipan Tribune will be coming out with a series of short interviews of all candidates in the 2005 general elections, starting from the Board of Education candidates, all the way up to the gubernatorial tandems. These short profiles intend to give readers a slice of each candidate’s thoughts on specific topics chosen by the Saipan Tribune’s editorial pool. This series will come out in succeeding Monday, Wednesday, and Friday editions of the paper until the week before the election on Nov. 5, 2005.

Today’s edition features the candidates for the Board of Education seats: Don Farrell, Lucia Blanco-Maratita, and John Joyner. BOE candidate Herman T. Guerrero was also invited but he was unable to submit his responses by yesterday’s deadline.
