NMIFA EVALUATION MOVED TO SEPT. 24

The Northern Mariana Islands Football (Soccer) Association will hold an evaluation for all players who will compete in the upcoming 2005 season next Saturday, Sept. 24.

NMIFA secretary general Peter Coleman said that some 250 players will take part in the evaluation, which begins at 4:30pm at the American Memorial Park.

Coleman said that players will be notified about the rosters of the teams a week later. Shortly after, Coleman said the action will begin as the 2005 season will get underway.

Soccer practices are held on Tuesday afternoon’s at 4:30 pm in the AMP, and the highly anticipated games will be held on Saturday afternoons at 4:30 pm at the same location.

LITTLE LEAGUE BOARD MEETING TOMORROW

The Saipan Little League Baseball Association will hold a board meeting tomorrow at 8:30am at the New Golden Lobster Restaurant along Middle Road in Gualo Rai.

Topics to be discussed are the upcoming awards banquet for the 2005 season, the planned tee-ball and girls’ softball leagues, and preparations for the 2006 season.
