With efforts to increase visitor arrivals from Korea, the MVA recently sent a delegation, headed by two of its board members to Seoul, South Korea.

The delegation, headed by Marian Aldan-Pierce, vice chair for the MVA Board of Directors, met with travel trade partners during a media conference and seminar.

The MVA announced its marketing strategies for the Korea market for 2006 as well as provided an update of the Garapan Revitalization Project.

In addition, the delegates met with Asiana Airlines president, Mr. Kang Ju Ahn, as well as major travel agent managers who deal directly with the Marianas destination.

“We hope that all of our partners in Korea with whom we met during our brief visit will continue to contribute to the growth of the Marianas tourism industry with increased travel from Korea,” said MVA managing director Vicky Benavente. (PR)
