Sunshine and barbecue galore at the beach

Sun, sand, and a steady flow of delectable barbecue dishes await guests who partake of Aqua Resort Club’s Chamorro Lunch BBQ everyday at the Achugao hotel.

For only $18 ($9 for kids 6-12 year old, plus 20 percent local discount), people craving for grilled and roasted meat and fish can dine al fresco at the hotel’s beachfront where they could have a magnificent vista of Managaha Island and the rest of the Philippine Sea.

With the warm ocean breeze and the soothing and calming sound of the waves splashing to shore providing a fitting backdrop, guests are assured of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Aqua Resort Club food and beverage manager Manny Barcial said they introduced the Chamorro Lunch BBQ to give guests an alternative to the usual hotel and restaurant lunch set-ups.

“It’s actually quite relaxing since it’s not done inside and you really get to enjoy what Saipan is all about, which is the sun, sand, and sumptuous barbecue,” he said.

Aqua Resort Club sales and marketing manager Dory Gabutero said it’s a true treat for the senses.

“Not only does our barbecue lunch tickle the taste buds it also gives our guests a complete sensory treat. They feel the wind in their face, hear the splashing of the waves, smell the inviting aroma of the barbecue, and of course indulge in their favorite barbecue dishes,” she said.

Guests can choose from an array of meats and fish that are grilled to perfection by Aqua Resort Club’s expert cooks.

They include beef top sirloin, Chamorro sausage, barbecue short ribs, barbecue chicken, fish fillet marinated with ginger and soy, and grilled parrot fish.

Aside from the barbecue specials, the Chamorro Lunch BBQ also has a salad bar and offers complimentary side dishes like grilled corn in the cob, baked potato, red rice, steamed vegetables, and local favorites seafood and chicken kelaguen.

Further adding to the tropical appeal, Aqua Resort Club is also making available for free fresh coconut juice. And what buffet meal is complete without dessert, as fresh fruits like sliced melon, orange, and honeydew are also in abundance.
